When the young Iravwati Kohli, an NRI girl working for a topnotch art house in England, lands up in India, Little does she know what destiny awaits her. Suddenly her life spirals out of control. She is charged with murder. The victim turns out to be her grandfather and he has left behind some bizarre clues. Two strange men walk into her life: Samar, a mysterious stranger and Karan, a besotted charmer. Suddenly she realizes that the Kohinoor, taken away by the British, could be in India. Will she find it? And who else is looking for it so desperately that they could kill for it?
Moving through various spheres of intrigue, Kohinoor unfolds itself as we travel in time with the stone to get involved with the protectors and plunderers the diamond. A combination of old world charm and new age action makes this series compelling programming.
