Victim of a big-city hospital´s power games, a brilliant physician at the top of his career is unfairly inquired for surgery error. Therefore he is transferred to lead a small neglected maternity ward nearly to close. However, his passion and talent allow him to revitalize the depressed place, bringing to his new staff fresh enthusiasm and essential competences, and turning the old ward in a jewelof efficiency. “Maternity ward” also tells the individual stories of an extraordinary team of gynecologists, obstetricians, pediatricians and nurses working hard for the overwhelming joy of new born children. Their deep humanity and full understanding will help the rejected doctor to prove his innocence and find a new love.
