My Daughters
Caterina Parisi is an attractive and courageous woman who, after having been abandoned by her husband Enzo, who left without any explanation on Christmas Eve twenty years ago, has raised her three daughters on her own. Adele, the oldest, is a thirty-five year old single career woman, who as manager of a prestigious chain of hotels seems launched towards the position of General Manager. Agostina, the second-born, has by contrast chosen the opposite: she is a housewife with two children and a husband who is a Notary, apparently devoted to his family. Carlotta, the youngest, is studying at university profitably and with commitment. There has never been any other man for Caterina in all these years, she has never gone looking for one. But seeing her daughters so independent and accomplished, she believes that the time has finally arrived to change and open up to a new relationship, after much solitude. Unfortunately, just as she is about to give in to the courtship of Attilio, a charming widower, she discovers that the reality is really quite different from what she believed and that her daughters need her more than ever. On the eve of promotion, Adele finds herself having to cope with an unexpected and unwanted pregnancy. Agostina discovers that her husband is being unfaithful and is cheating on her with Carlotta of all people, her younger sister, in the middle of a crisis with her studies and dealing with confused artistic ambitions. With her kindness but also with her combative spirit, once again sacrificing her own happiness, Caterina will change the lives of her three daughters in a position way. At the end, they will once again find themselves celebrating Christmas even more united than ever and it will be the girls this time who help their mother to regain Attilio’s love which she thought she had lost…
