Women´s Duty
A comedy series packed with entertaining, romantic, and fun incidents. Paola Vitali is the first woman ever to join the Carabinieri, Italy’s largest, traditionally all-male police force. At the Città Della Pieve Carabinieri Station Paola has the chance to prove to herself and others that she has what it takes to be amongst them. Marshal Palermo gives her a hard time right from the start, although behind this manners, he hides his true feelings for her. A nurse called Gioia, the daughter of the Station’s chief, arrives on the scene, stirring up jealous reactions on Paola’s side, until Sergeant Palermo is posted to another city. His replacement, Andrea Ferri, soon settles in. He is impressed by Paola’s grit and they become firm friends, but he too seems to succumb to her fatal attraction. Leo, the youngest member of the squad, has been in love with Gioia from the first day, and as the story goes, she begins to realise that his kind manners and his naïf look is what she’s been looking for. The squad receives daily visits from a wacky man named Giovanni, who was struck by lightning in his youth. He is an informer who often helps the Carabinieri to solve difficult cases in the most hilarious ways.
