RIS – Paris
The R.I.S. (Recherche et Investigation Scientifique – Scientific Research and Investigation), research and analysis laboratory in the heart of the scientific police, is composed of five researchers who help the judiciary police in their investigations. They are appointed with reconstructing crimes piece by piece and establishing a scenario from proof, finding “how” and “why”, the modus operandi and the motive. The R.I.S. section is headed by Marc Venturi first and then by Gilles Sagnac who coordinate the actions of patologist Alessandra Joffrin and her specialised officers: Nathalie Giesbert in biology, Hugo Chalonges in physics and chemistry, Julie Labro in electronics and Malik Berkaoui in ballistics. Venturi is permanently in contact with Pierre Morand, captain of the Regional Judiciary Police Service. All are working to reach the same goal: find and put to justice the criminals following irrefutable proof.
